    MP W2401 PS CODE SC-406

I have this code, with the following symptoms : 1. Machine reboots, after that it shows the SC-406 code 2. Partial printed drawings all over the printed paper, unreadable. So far i have replaced T/DT corotron assembly, T/DT Power Supply and Drum-for other reason this. Machine works for some days without a problem and then it codes again. On/Off and continues..
Thanks a lot for any input..

From the 3606 manual, did not see it on my 2401 manual but its probably the same solution..

406 D ID Sensor Pattern Edge Detection Error
The ID sensor pattern check could not detect the correct voltage on the ID
sensor pattern (below 2.5V) within 0.6 sec.
     ID sensor dirty
ID sensor harness loose, damaged, defective
     ID sensor connector defective
     ID sensor defective
     MCU defective
     CGB power pack defective

Did you replace the drum first and then had this problem? If the allen screws are loose the drum drive could be slipping causing this problem.

    Good luck

What's the value of your PWM? If it is higher that the specified value, check your ID sensor. Also, follow what brian has posted
    Aye! Cut the crap

Well, i read it at Goose Guide that slipping setscrews can cause this problem and yes, problem is more often after drum replacement. I'll be back on Tuesday for the feedback.

I would like to inform you that there are no slipping setscrews
because this drum shaft is D shaped, so it cannot slip...No way!!
RW-240 has that kind of problem as i recall, the shaft is circular!
Certainly, i would not expect a slipping shaft can cause reboots!!!

What drum did you use? Aftermarket drums cause these codes on this model. Did you use a blue or green drum?

Are there any other codes in the sc history? Are your timing belts worn? Sometimes the belts start deteriorating prematurely and cause issues. Can you send and example of what the partial prints look like.

What's the value of your SP 3001-01? Is it higher that the normal operating value? Can you at lease upload the sp table?
    Aye! Cut the crap
