    IS adding a fax option"m4" on a mpc4503 the same as adding a m3 on a mpc3503?

    hi
i just got in from am account where i installed the fax option and machine would not see it.
Bought it used M4 for mpc4503.
Where you would see a memory stick was empty.
Is there anything to turn on in service mode.
I looked at manual and did not see any mention on installing fax brd.

There is nothing to turn on in service mode. Did you set the jumper on the fax board to on?

The fax option is in the service manual, starts on pdf page 1802 of 2418 in my book dated 7/2013

According to the Product Support Guide the Fax Option M3 is for the MP C3003/C3503 only, the Fax Option M4 is for the MP C4503/C5503/C6003 only. They are not interchangeable.

I know from adding a PS3 opt that the mpc4503 and above need M4 and the mpc3503 uses M3.
I was looking to see if there was an extra step needed to install the m4 fax..
I thinks it is just a bad "working"??pull..I contacted my source
