Looking for clarity on a MPC4503 OP PANEL FW

    HI
I am updating a MPC4503 and the only FW I didnt do was the op panel NOP.
    My machine has D149 1490F VER 1.05
    My romdata has D150 1438J VER 1.10

Machine gave me a warning and i looked at the FW history and no mention of a D149 WTH ver 1.05 as previous..

What issues did you have before & after updating the firmware?

D1491490 is in the Package Firmware module. Look in Firmware History for NOP-Package. It as a breakdown of all the modules that make up the package. D1501438J is the latest individual module released.

One of them is for the wrong region. From the Firmware History for needed versions to use SMBv2/v3 support:
    OpePanel
Europe, China, and Taiwan model: v1.14 (D1491490Q)
North America, Asia and Koria model: v1.10 (D1501438J)

Since you are is the states, the ROMDATA is the correct version. Machine has firmware for the wrong region. The machine may not fully support SMBv2/v3.

This is one of the reasons that I do not like the Package firmware. D1491490 is for Europe, China, and Taiwan model.

    None
This was a lease return I have sold and need to deliver so i update all the FW b4 placing it..
I did have an odd issue where it kept calling for a pm even though the K drum and dev are only at 190k and color at 70k .When i cked the PM settings it showed count yield for k and color drums and dev units at 0000000 meter..ODD..Doing the updates they went back to normal but machines kept wth the pm needed display.

IT is odd because the only FW that was different was the OP PANEL one..

It might be the the op panel is the only place where there is different firmware by region. I not seen if before. The only reason I found it was I decided to the Firmware History for D1491490.

That is strange that the package has a different version than the individual firmware, did Ricoh put in the wrong firmware?

Quite possibly the engineer who first setup the list of firmware for the package was unaware of the difference as I was that there were different regional versions.
