Savin MP C5502 New OEM fixing film assy film tore after 3 months

I put this fixing film assembly in about 3 months ago. I have been in this business for 25 plus years and had done this many times. 3 months goes by and the film is starting to rip in the center and throwing SC 544. Could it be something dropped in the fuser to cause this. I have a hard time thinking I did something wrong. Any input would be very helpful . Thanks so much !!!

Even slight mishandling will result in these ripping in two. Customers removing a jam often damage the sleeve assembly. They are really delicate.

Clean the exit stripper plate on all service calls and replace

Ricoh D144-4136 when changing sleeve.
After we started doing this the ripping stopped.

Have seen this a few times, low counts around 20k, and can either be attributed to:
A). As mentioned before, customers removing jams forcefully weaking that part of the belt (which are delicate to begin with). In which case, figure out why it's jamming.
or
B). We have a "theory" here in our shop that there is not enough oil in the center of the pad (inside the fusing sleeve), thus leading to rapid deterioration of the pad, which in turn takes out the sleeve itself. Or just bad manufacturing (rough edge) on the internal parts. Only Theories, but just know that you are not alone!

The center of the sleeve is where I also see most failures, and the highest buildup of toner/paper dust on the stripper plate.

Some people want to bend the ends of the stripper plate to get the plate closer to the sleeve. The sleeve flexes and gets closer on it's own when press roller pushes it against it's heat plate. As mentioned, it will get a buildup from contact with the heat sleeve and the damage begins...something to look at. May have been self inflicted wound at rebuild time.

I have these fusers going to yield and more. Replace the pressure roller and the stripper plate when rebuilding.
