    c6003, c6004 pcu

Hi, All. I hope your day is going well. Quick question: Can A MP C6003 PCU be used in a MP C6004? Dev units are noticeably different, pcu looks like it may work?

I use the 04 drums in the 03's, they are a little less expensive. Slides right in with no mods required.

I have never tried using an 03 drum in an 04.

I have put 03 PCU's into 04 machines, so it will work, but my understanding is that the new 04 PCU's are actually cheaper, so my dealer is only ordering those PCU's going forward.

Are the black & colour still a different design?

    Hi guys,
Just jumping on this thread, I'm having a nightmare with black streaks on MPC5503's and was also wondering about compatibility with other models. So far we have been refurbing PCU's with new lube, blade, charge and cleaning, but seem to get re occuring image quality issues when doing a heavy run so looking to resolve with a genuine unit swap if possible.
Does the c6004 unit work without any mods and are they interchangeable between different colours and mono?
    TIA

Rebuild kits are rubbish and a complete waste of time you can use the latest mpc3504-6004 Black pcu and it will fit in bk & colour slots and fit the 03 series

I agree the rebuild kits don't last.

However the black & colour PCU look different so how can you fit a black as colour?

I have yet to try this.

So just to confirm what you are saying I only need to carry a xx04 K PCU and this will fit as colour & black on ALL the METIS models? (except C2xxx)

    Re: c6003, c6004 pcu

Thanks for the feedback guys, i've got a couple of BK 04 PCU's arriving with me today so will give it a test at some point in the next week and let you know my results.
I had heard that it just fits straight in but you cant put the front cover back on because there is a slight shape difference.
