    FTP Scanning

Is there a way to configure FTP scanning in a DHCP network environment?

This would be handy. Every FTP I have done has always failed with the hostname. IP worked every time. Though there was one Minolta that hostname did work. SMB has worked for both hostname and IP for me.

Host name for FTP will work best when you are on a domain and the FTP server is a service on one of your domain servers. In that case the host becomes yourdomain.com or in some cases ftp.yourdomain.com.

You can reserve IP address by setup in the Router setting by capture the PC Mac address.
Only this way the IP won't Jump into other IP address.

mincopier comment that "there was one Minolta that hostname did work" proves you wrong.
