We have run into a HUGE snag concerning the Fiery profile color editor options. Our 751 (E41) allows us to edit color densities for each profile we set up for a job like picture 1.
But, when we open profile editor in E43A, the density setting is missing. (Pic 2) When we consulted Fiery's online support, this is what they say:
"For output profiles: Optionally, if your Fiery Server stores the calibration target in the output profile, you can edit the maximum densities of the calibration target (the D-Max values) for each color (C, M, Y, and K). If the D-Max values are not shown, then your Fiery Server stores the calibration target separately from the output profile. In this case, you can view and adjust the D-Max values in Calibrator."
Picture 2 shows that the E43A has removed our ability to adjust color density across the board as opposed to setting input/output values. This is a HUGE problem for us because we conveniently depended on the overall color density adjustment when the red was too dark across the board, even after performing a calibration on the machine. Now, we cannot and I have a job just setting here because I cannot print it until I correct the red density. Does anyone know how to adjust density per profile as we did in the old Fiery settings?
