A client has two paper drawers one said to let her one set to legal . There is a mixed original function on this machine but it seems to not pick up the different sized Papers automatically . I have set all paper drawers to be available for this and yet it still does not work does anyone know why?

Does the C305 doc feed even do size detect? I know the 5210 doesn't and I believe it is pretty much the same doc feed.
I don't believe you can do "mixed sizes" for originals on this machine. You can do "Batch" mode which is completely different.
After looking at one in our shop, you must manually choose between Letter and Legal for ADF size.
Why is there a mixed originals choice in the functions that a user can choose when they’re making copies ?
Looked through the operators guide and did not find mention of the "mixed original" button but I suppose it is the same reason there is an sp to double couldn't 11x17 on a 5210.
Ask the engineers at Ricoh.
There are no paper size sen in the df so when you do an odd job you would need to select the original size on the left side of the screen not sure if this helps you out but its the smae on an MP301
