MP5002 slow when scanning at the same time it's printing

I have a customer that is complaining about how slow the copier gets when it is printing and some one comes up to scan at the same time. You can visually see it slow way down on both scanning and printing. They would prefer for the printing job to complete then the scanned job take off afterwards. Is there a way to make this happen?

I believe that there is a setting in User Tools where you can set machine function priority. Default is Control Panel.
