Frequently caused by the black transfer roller in the ITB assembly not being lifted when the ITB assembly is locked tn placed.

If it’s the dev unit you can try and clean the mag roller. To rule out the drum unit you can clean the drum charger/drum or swap colours to see if the lines move to another colour? Do that first. Then look at the dev unit and replace if necessary. It’s unlikely to be anything other than one of the two.

Care to share what you did to resolve these problems? Common courtesy.

No kidding! If you don't the real names, singing 'A little ditty, bout black and cyan" makes no sense at all.

If the laser lens has been cleaned then it is definitely blockages in the development unit. I found a way to remove the blockage but it requires you to have a .5mm feeler gauge.

Ricoh actually has a tool for cleaning doctor blade. A2949560 Paper Dust Cleaner - 5pcs/set. It not only cleans the gap, but has a tab that pops up to scrap the back of the doctor blade. For instructions on how to use, see the Pro 1357EX service manual. Works on most machines. Also it is Mylar and will not scratch the development roller t he way a feeler gauge might.

With the color development unit there are small chunks of plastic that cause the blockage. The mylar tool will only move it out of the way temporarily. The way I found to effectively clean it is to loosen the doctor blade, rotate the mag roller, vacuum off the blocked section, tighten the doctor blade using the .5mm feeler gauge to set the gap.
