    DX3243 PriPort

    Hello

I am looking for some advice on a Digital Duplicator, PriPort machine...

The printed text is randomly moving up and down the page....

I have replaced both the pickup and feed roller, as well as the feed clutch but it has not helped at all...

I can't find anything in the service manual that seems to offer any direction and I am unable to find anyone who has any real experience of these machines..

I did wonder if perhaps the drum itself was causing problems and could perhaps be moving / worn in some way..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I forget, have not seen a duplicator in years but try the digital duplicator forum.

    Hi Staggan

I would say your registration is messing you around. If the reg clutch is slipping the image will move around on the page from one page to the next.

    Hello

Yes, registration is moving, but there is no registration clutch shown in the service manual...

I will try posting in the digital duplicator forum...

    Thanks

I see the registration is driven by a dedicated motor. Check the grub screws holding the pulley to the motor and check tension on the belt attached to the motor, as a slack belt could jump teeth with the speed the machine works.

    Re: DX3243 PriPort

    Thanks for the suggestion...

I've checked the grub screws on both the motor and roller, checked belt condition and tensioner the belt again...

Still no joy, the position can fluctuate by 10mm or more...

I'm wondering if speed is causing issues or if there is a drum issue...

Any further help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Update

I have got normal thickness paper working fine, but thicker paper is still slipping....

I think the issue is pressure on the registration roller which is managed via part of the drum drive... but I can't find anything on it in the service manual...

I've got the complete roller assembly that sits above the registration roller out and it seems fine...

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks

    HI. Glad about the progress!

Do you adjust the thickness lever depending on the paper you are using? There is such a lever on the feed side above the paper table.

Hi. Have you checked the solenoids that release the pressure roller below the drum. They sometimes stick and can cause uneven pressure as well.
