For starters if "C" fails - which is a rough adjustment, there is no point to do "B" and "A" which are finer adjustments.

+1 on all the comments regarding cleaning the whole optics setup (including the id sensors) and not forgetting the metal plate that sits on the ITB just above the id sensors as well.

Also inspect the itb belt condition. Look for visible dull bands in the id sensor path area, as that can also affect the ability of the id sensors to read the toner.

In sp mode you can also check the result of the id sensors, which if all was well would be "111". If you got a result other than that, it is possible to determine why the test failed. in the service manual values like for instance "2" or "5" will be described to tell you what to check, to resolve the problem.

Also, when last were the drums/dev units replaced - have they reached PM yield?
