Color Offset

I have a MP C4501 with a very slight color offset. I can run the color registration and square them up, but it will become offset again either same day or a few days later. I've cleaned the sensors, belt looks really good, even tried changing the mirror motor because I had it. When you print the color registration, the colors seems to very slightly stair step to the point you can hardly tell the yellow is lower than the black where they repeat.

Any ideas?

Dirty ID sensor or ITB unit slipping. Clean the ID sensors and if that doesn't do it---replace the ITB unit.

Sounds like you may need to install another ITB assembly.

I've cleaned the sensors.

How did you clean the ID sensor? The recommended method is to use a clean cotton cloth moistened with water only. Any other method can either leave a static build up that will attract dust, leave a film or chemically etch the lens. You may need to replace the ID sensor assembly.

We've had a lot of Sc370s lately on the c5502. I know that's not what you're asking about, but it's still the ID sensor flaking out & this is from numerous techs.
