The waste toner outlet is a different length on for some of the units - just make sure it bind or fall short and dump inside the machine

Maybe "The waste toner outlet is a different length" this idea is true. but I don't know. But I don't see the discharge the toner inside the machine.

I'm using only black drum units or SPC811 pcu's for the MPC series. You just have to "modify" this RJ45 looking plug and break a little nose. If you want to use the MPC unit you'll also have to use the old TD sensor.

The PM interval for the MPC drum units are 80k but in many cases they run much more prints, expecially if you clean the charge roller occasionally. Just had to replace a unit ....after 200k prints - and the drum was still good looking but had a little HV punch Talking about the SPC stuff - you can also use the fusing unit for the MPC3500-4500 - the complete unit is cheaper than the maintanance kit. You just have to to do a little change at the pin assignment of the Fuser plug - very easy and self explaing if you compare both units.

As for the 2228-3245 machines Ricoh doesn't offer different PCU's for black/col.

Never tried to play around with the AP3800/CL7000 units but they are basicly related to the 2228 or 3245 PCU's. Just take care that it fits and the waste toner nozzle should also have the same lenght to avoid problems.

I've never tried to use one developer for different machines and I can't really imagine that this is working with so many generations.

I suppose it's a good way to save on parts but a fantastic way to completely knacker a lot of perfectly good machines.

I don't mean to sound nasty or offensive, but don't put the wrong dev in the wrong machine, eventually it will go horribly wrong....
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I use type 21 in the Martini c1/c2/c3 as well, never had a problem with it, I keep more type 21 than any other dev on board as I've got about 12 2105/2090's on my area.
