    Ricoh 1045 jam problems

I have problems with my 1045. It allways jams at paper exit just about when i will be able to see paper. I had allready refurbished fusing unit (hot roller, press. roller, thermistor, bearing), changed paper exit sensor, twice, as well as fusing clutch and i still cant make a SINGLE copy. I took out selonoid and inspect them and culndn't find nothing wierd.

P.S. I also swaped BICU board from another 1045 and still aint working.

there are two rollers at the paper exit, visible when the finisher is removed. They get out of position and cause exit jams

have you printed out the smc printout i.e. 5-9904 (logging data)?
what does it say? have you checked input mode 5-803 for the sensors?

    check the exact jam code

the fuser exit sensor is indeed a problem every now and then - it's located on the side cover above the transfer unit

    Fusing exit sensor

The fusing exit sensor is indeed flaky on these units, and was covered (and superceded) in a tech pub.

Old part number AW010090, new part number AW010061
