Ricoh Aficio MP 9000
i am facing problem in Aficio MP9000
after 120000 copies Image becomes light, image gets light like very less toner in developer. When we recover the Toner by "Toner Supply"(forced Toner Supply), machine gets normal but after 1000 copies it
gets light again.i try switch the machine from Sensor Control to Image Pixel Count Mode, machine performs normal about 7000 copies. After that it gets light again.
I observe that the hardware (Toner Supply Motor Clutch) is operating normally more over i have updated the Engine Firmware with the latest available
(3.22.1:16)
But still the problem remains same
then when i replaced the DEVELOPER & TD SENSOR machine perfumed normal for approx another 100K to 120K copies, after that image get lighter again
looking for solution

Hello Dear,
Do you test the Toner Bank Setup ? If this process is Failed. You must clean the Toner collection tube. If This process is Complete. It's time your machine get the toner at toner bank.

I would try adjusting the toner supply rate SP2209.

Try to vacuum out the tube thats on your left hand side near to the flywheel that goes up to the development unit, this tube thas the tendency to coagulate and gives you bad quality copies, light copies or SC495 after 100K
We can all Win, but at the end we all loose. Save the greyhound

Have you tried cleaning the mag roller and doctor blade?
-
Light copies
Cleaning the dev mag rollers can resolve those problems only if you clean all the grooves also. I use a brass brush (like the ones sold to clean a barbecue grill). Toner clumps up in the grooves and causes reduction of density. Also if the rollers are discolored (coating on them), there can be a gray background on the operator side edge in long runs. The first copies out appear to be ok, but in about 25 copies the background starts. This is most definately dirty/ glazed mag rollers. If it has gotten to the point of making a toner cloud when you turn the mag rollers by hand, the developer is crashed due to too much toner in the mix. Then you will need to change the developer in addition to cleaning the mag rollers.
With the formulation of this developer and other modifications in this model, Ricoh has resolved the plugged doctor gap from paper dust. I have not seen any trouble which was experienced in the previous models with this engine.
As a general rule, I check the mag rollers on all calls and clean them if indicated.

I'm not too familiar with this model, but do the toner pumps go on these? They did on the 10515s and 9005s I believe, causing fading prints.
