Knocking the dang try height sensor out

I have recently been getting tons of calls for people knocking the long black try height lever on the finisher out of place on multiple finisher models.

Anyone else get this and have any tips to stop it from happening again ? I never had this happen until recently now I get it a ton was I just lucky ?

I think they will need to be "educated" on not messing with the tray sensor flag.

That's a tough one, as some people will listen while others will be wondering why you're even talking to them about the problem.

Educate yeah right They get told everytime it happens but since when has that changed anything I think they hit it with the paper when they take it off the tray.

Educate the customer first. If it happens again then make them pay for the service call. Sometimes the best lessons are learned from the wallet!

Yep, sometimes that's exactly what it takes to get customers to realize that service calls can be costly. Accidents do happen, but continuously going out there should be throwing red flags up at your dealer too. Someone up on the food chain can get involved and it will probably end up not happening anymore. It can be handled nicely without pissing off the customer....maybe in a boss-to-boss conversation.
