Ricoh Aficio 2015 and Scanner Problem

    Hi,
I'm having some trouble with my copier/scanner.
It works as copier and printer but doesn't as scanner.
When I try to import anything from the scanner by using the TWAIN driver, I get an error message:
Error 12320 Unable to locate scanner. Make sure scanner is connected and power is on
Everything worked fine till some day ago...and I didn't change anything before to get that message, so I don't understand what's the problem.
I've already tried to disable Windows Firewall, to re-install the Twain Driver... with no success .
    Can anyone help me, please?
    Cheers from Italy

Sorry, I thought it wasn't important 'cause the machine is connected as always...
Anyway, it's connected through a router then a hub-switch. I tried to restart both (router&hub), but nothing changes!
I also checked the Web Image Monitor and it says "Scanner Ready"

My initial guess on this would be something software related. I would try to go back to when it worked, see what was installed/uninstalled/updated since then and try to troubleshoot.

Of course, it could be machine related, but usually when things worked fine, then suddenly stop working, I go the software route and do some quick checks.

Please, let me know your success
I forgot to add: of course, every PC linked to the scanner receives the same error!!

Try turning off your firewall and see if it works
Try turning off your Nortons/Symantic/anyother software guard sys and see if it works.

My success? Why, did you want me to go fix it for you?

You'll figure it out, you just need to think, from the scanner portion, and narrow it down. Power cycle it, go into the scanner portion, make sure the machine is properly recognizing its own scanner option.

Forgetting to add that now makes me think that it might be a machine software glitch, rather than a computer software issue.

Ok guys, thanks for your advises.
At last, after I tried everything, I turned off the main power line of my office, just to be sure to turn off every machine/router/switch/ecc at the same time and rebooting it at the same time too.
    Well... NOW IT WORKS!
I turned off the stuff once a time... that was my fault!
@Cobiray: I hate you too, don't worry! Eheh, just kidding
@Schooltech: I'm sorry but I've fixed it before of you! What I won?
