Ricoh 2238c reducing image in e-mail

    Copy, fax and print OK.
Adjusted lead and trail on DF.
I still get scanned image reduced lead to trail where I get a line caused by the trail edge of the paper. ADF magnification set to max.
I adjusted copy/ scan to a gnat's ass. (Lining up original with copy overlaid looking through the paper was less than .5mm.)
Scan to e-mail was still reduced.
I am taking my laptop tomorrow to see if I get the same in scanrouter.
Letter-r direction gives me a line 15mm back from trail edge.
Regular letter gives me a line 5mm from trail.
I know the line is from trail edge of the paper.
Am I running into a slow motor or a mechanical bind?
    I don't know, that's why I am posting.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

This is what I have done to fix that issue. The only way I have found to eliminate the dreaded black line in scan mode. Even when the copy is dead on to a "gnat's ass" (luv that phrase).

Scanner SP 1-005 adjusts the margin erase in scan mode only.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

I've used the same solution as KopyKat. I put the setting at 5 milimetres, which is usually enough to make sure there's nothing right at the edge of the page that will get lost.
Kind of strange how it only really comes through in scan mode...

SP 1-005 is Dev motor speed adjustment.
The scanner and ADF adjustments are dead on for copying.
The problem is scan to e-mail in PDF format.

We are talking about the SCANNER SP mode not the COPY SP Mode

That's why I made it bold in the original post.

go into SP mode and on the first screen choose SCANNER not COPY
