Anyone did face the pbm in MP1500, m/c doesn't take document from DF. DF position sensor working ok. But platen cover sensor doesn't work in Input check mode. sensor I replaced. what other possibilities? (BICU?)

Is the flag actuating the sensor when the DF is closed?
yes it is actuating and its not a physical pbm which I confirmed.
The sensors are all monitored by the DF Control PCB. I would start by re-seating all the connectors on the DF control PCB and tracing the wires from the sensor to the board checking for pinches or shorts.
Do you have 5v at the sensor? Yeah I know, practically no one likes to use a meter anymore...but us old time techs know....Voltage never lies.
Next the signal goes through an interface, reseat the connectors there. Check your harness to the copier for bent pins or damage.
From the interface board the signal goes to the main frame...I'm too sleepy right now to pull out the P2P to see where it goes from there....Probably to the BICU.
