Question Ricoh C3003 fuser and C2503 fuser

I see that the C2003 fuser will work in the C3003 and C3503.
The Fixing film assembly for the C2003 is the same for the C2503.

The only difference I can see which prevents the C2503 fuser from fitting the C3003, is the insertion tab on the front of the lower fuser cover.
Does anyone know if the C2503 fuser will work in the C3003 if fitted with the C3003 lower cover ?

yes i have done it and i think you can move that pin in the main frame where the fuser comes in contact wth machine..
the only difference on faster machines is the lamps...

The fusers should have different wattage lamps and possibly one fuser sleeve unit won't include the internal shutter.

the mpc250s has the shutter a PITA to align when you are rebuilding the fuser with just the sleeve and felt lub. pad...

yes, it works, I mounted a 2003 on a 3003, but I wouldn't generalize about all models, I don't trust it very much, for example, two weeks ago, I had a 3004 here that didn't fix the toner to the edges well, and then I discovered that it was fitted with the upper class sleeve, someone in the past must have made a mistake in ordering it, it changed the lamp by a few watts, from there I noticed it

Re: Ricoh C3003 fuser and C2503 fuser

I would like to use a C2503 fuser in a C3003. The C2503 fuser does have the internal shutter just like the C3003.

However the C2503 has a different insert tab on the lower plastic cover of the fuser itself.
This would really help out stocking back up fusers if I could just switch the lower cover on the fuser.

    Has anyone tried this ? Specifically using a C2503 in a C3003?
