Cant open wim in any browser , he search ip on web(?)

Hi everyone, it often happens that by typing the machine's IP into the browser, instead of opening it, it searches for it on the internet.
I usually type [win]+[R] and type "http://(ip address)" and it works, or I try from another browser, and somehow I manage to connect.
today it happened to me on a PC that even when "run" opens the browser in internet search mode for that IP address, have you encountered this problem? Have you found a solution to ensure that the IP is executed and not searched on the web?

Hi. I think it's possible to open it under network devices when checking all devices available on your network

I have installed the machine (mpc3004) with ip port without problem One minute first, and advanced ip scanner found the machine, but the browser take the ip address in search mode instead of open the page

    What browser are you using?

What is the first DNS on the C3004? If it is not local, local domain server or local router, that can cause the problem.

Have you tried connecting using the NETbios name?

there is no need for you to type http. just type the IP address.

the DNS are those of the modem, plus cloudflare, and google....but the other PC doesn't have this problem, it doesn't even work when running, I tried with edge, chrome, and firefox, nothing.
first wim worked from that station (there are only two laptop PCs) then the customer changed the PC, the scanner will certainly work, but I can't access the mf from that PC, he searches for the IP on the internet instead of opening wim

I mean in "run" (win+R)....are you sure? I seem to remember that from there you have to put http(?)

Try using local://IPaddress and see if that forces it to search the local network.

Just thought of one other thing. Is the PC in question using a VPN such as Nord, Norton or something similar or a proxy? If so, that is the problem. The browser can only see what the VPN or proxy server can see and that server is not local.

windows - Why can I access Internet but not local devices over VPN (wireguard)? - Super User
