Unhappy aficio 1045-faint copies one side

    hi guys

i have a aficio and its producing faint copies on one side along the paper,
    -----------------------
Clear image

---------------------
    | Faint Image | a4 lengthwise

i av changed the drum, developer, charger roller,Ld unit, cleaning blade but the machine still cant give me a good image...it faint on one side.I realised when i do force tonner it makes a clear copy which fades after 100 copies.I was tempted to think its tonner feeding problem.but then one side of the copy is clear and ok..help guys

    Clean the laser slit glass

Print a checkered print from memory to eliminate the scanner

a print from the memory is slightly better but the faintness is still there but if i do a forced tonner supply i get an even copy wich fades out on one side after a few copies....

Make sure the gears in the dv unit are turning both paddles. Try another dev unit. Check the transfer unit, make sure both springs are in place and the unit is in its slot. Check the fuser unit for even pressure.

I had a similar problem. check whether the machine is on a leveled ground. It could be tilted to one side therefore bringing about uneven developer distribution. Again check at the developer unit itself. The cover could be tilted on one side or the cover clips could be broken.

I agree with Jomama, but also check the mag roller, is it clean and is it worn?
I'd definately try another dev unit

Ditto on the mag roller check. Also make sure there's not any build up on the doctor blade.

it seems that the problem is from dev unit. as they mention doctor blade perhaps toner clogging... or the magnet roller it self is damage... better to try a new dev unit...
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.
