    Good Luck.

i agree with you my kumpadre! listen to imaginemoko. dont try to do it yourself as it may worsen the situation. if you really dont know what to do and you have no idea with what your are doing, just call a certified engineer to do it for you. you may save some but lose more. you may know how to operate the machine but repairing it is another matter.

    RICOH AFICIO MP C2000 DEVELOPER BLACK 160K / B2309640
this is where i am thinking of purchasing the black drum, and developer. they sell it seperately it seems.
check it out, let me know if that's what you mean by "whole drum unit".
    thanks,

Black Drum unit part # B223 2244 I see that on the web site you linked to..
    RICOH AFICIO MP C2500 DRUM BLACK 80K / B2232244
Black Dev unit part # B230 9640 But this part is not on the web site. A similar Cyan unit goes for $600+, but is not interchangable with the black.

So if the repair company states that it is about $1000 for both and they will do the install as well, take it.

Also, don't mess with at machine that you have no idea on HOW it works. It can get VERY expensive....... Service contracts actually SAVE companies money and make sure that a machine is taken care of.

B2232044 is the PCU part number when they first came out and they had a drum blade fault.

The correct number is B2232042 for the drum half and B2233013 for the dev half of the PCU.

There is a number for the entire unit but it costs a lot more than the 2 halves!

Of course.... I don't do field service anymore, Just IT stuff... I didn't go to the MFP TSC site to see any of the updates.

    Thanks for correcting me.

I hope the original poster get this done by a certified field tech....
