i use some cheapo wire cutters and snip the corner off then pluck the pin out and can get this and the wires switched in seconds -once u have done it a few times its second nature. a small blade helps to get the wires out if u wedge it under the latches of the harness.

Not quite as cost effective but the ridiculous amount of time required to do a full maintenance call on these machines seems worth it. All units slide in without much modification, the only exception is the transfer unit, you need to remove what appears to be a fuse or resistor with two pin connection, reference the unit you're pulling out of the machine.
    Andy, will the 402960 and 402961 work on mp4000/5000? d011 and d013?

    Hi guys,

If I have well understand, doing what you say at the first post I can transform my original Ricoh B223-2042 Black Drum Unit to everyone Color Drum Unit (like B223-2043,44,45) also if my unit is european???

...and simply twisting the two wires and "grinding" the connector of the Black Drum Unit!!!????

That would be a very great news for me!!!!!
I was thinking to start stop smoking in order to buy all the original ones!!!

Thanks a lot in advance and I wait for a kind answer...

Yes, they should work in these as well.

Honestly, I'm unsure of how the European units are wired, but by removing the original TD sensor and wire harness and swapping the ones in the printer versions they're almost certain to work.

Can anyone tell me the pn of the female connector at the back of the machine? I really hate these 3D parts catalogs...

Which female connector? Did you look on the P2P?
