Here's a quick guide on how I mod ours.
*Sorry about the quality of the pics.

1. Hacksaw the plastic arm off so you can get the hacksaw blade to the back of the connector tab.
2. Hacksaw slowly straight across the tab support, making sure the blade is flush against the back of the connector tab.
3. Now that one side of connector is free you can now slowly twist the connector up and down until the other epoxyed tab breaks free.
4. Break off the thin plastic lip so you can get a hacksaw blade (or file) on the second support tab.
5. Hacksaw (or file) the top of the tab support so it's flush (no need to go mad you just need to make it flat).
6. Drill a small hole 6-8mm deep in the center of the tab support.
Tip. I use a small kraft knife to make a small chip at the center of the tab support as a starting point for the drill piece.
Then I sit down and stick the drum unit between my legs and use a small hand operated drill to slowly make the hole.

7. Secure the connector with a screw (I use the original flat screw from the B223 drums).
8. Super glue the other side.
If you have done a good job the screw will hold the connector tight and in position and there with be a small 1mm gap the other side to bridge with a tiny amount of glue.

Presto! one modded D029 drum unit with a perfectly straight and secured connector.
Of coarse the more drum mods you do the faster and better you will get at it.

I'm planning to buy drum and blade from katun ,do you think it's worth it ,or from your experience changing the whole drum unit (black for all) is way easier and safer?
