Just arrived and starting now with the PM. Wish me luck!

As a sidenote, the machine is all dirty with toner, although the copies come out fine. Customer says machine did this since the beginning (it has now 320k copies). Wonder if something was amiss when setting up the machine (it wasn't me, although I was watching).

    See you soon.

You guys replace the thermistors at 300k? I never seen thermistor replacing on any PM I did before. Is this for this specific model (MP7000) or is it for other model covered by the service manual?

We replace the thermistors on the 15/18 pms. it just saves a service call.

The minds fine thanks, These machines normally run great to 350K, saving an extra call to do the dev and keeping the dev change in sync wtih the other parts.

Day late and a $ short, but here's my experience...

Unless the customer is really picky about copy quality this machine will run 500k on a pm. The only problem I have ever had from doing this is the developer wearing and the machine losing solids. I've even experimented with doing a developer change and charge wire at 350 - 400ish and skipping the rest of the PM until 700-800 with good results. Depends on what the customer runs.

Also in regards to the Pressure Roller Cleaning Roller - take the entire assembly and pitch it in the garbage. I've had several with over a million and they barely have any spots on them - the web does such a good job cleaning the machine that these rollers are not necessary, and all they ever do for me is make service calls for high pitch squeaking.

Also, depending on what the customer runs, you can play with the web drive time and interval to extend the web life to a more realistic 600-700k. If they do a lot of heavy solids or duplex you may want to shoot for 450k, but the default sometimes fails before 300k, and the web is NEVER dirty.

    PM cycle

Here are my numbers for PM cycle and I had no problems until now with any model in this range (2051, 2060, 2075, 5500, 6500, 7500, 6000, 7000)

    ADF

Pick up roller replaced every 120K
    Feed belt replaced every 40 ~ 80 K
Sep roller replaced usually every 40 K

    Dev unit

Developer replaced every ~300K (could be every 250 or 350 depends on cust coverage)
Dev filter replaced every 300 K or same time with developer
Toner Separation Case every 600 K
Toner Supply Unit every ~1500 K
    Entrance Seal Ass'y every 600 K

    Transfer belt replaced every ~500K
    Anti-static Plate ~1000K (cleaned every 500K)
Cleaning Roller Cleaning Blade replaced every ~500K

    Fuser

Hot, press rollers, bearings as a set replaced every ~300K/350K
Press roller cleaning roller never replaced (or very rare) just clean it
Bushings for press roller cleaning roller (very rare if are greased every PM)
    Web replaced every ~300K
    Thermistors replaced (both) every ~300K

Filter toner (on top of the fuser) replaced every PM
Back dust filter cleaned every PM
    Ozone filter replaced every PM

Feed stations tires & torque are not anymore PM items...life expect ~500K for tires and over 1000K for torque

PS: I love all this boxes...6001, 7001, 8001 not included on this list
I have so many going PM to PM cycle without any other major problems that I can say that are great success stories

Fair enough - Ricohs pretty much all need their thermistors changing on the PM that the heat roller or fuser belt is changed.

The new ones with the super thin UHR do anyway, I've had the Pro906ex series run several million without changing the thermistor, as do the older 4 minute warm-up machines.
