Call in a technician to do it. It'll be better in the long run.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

That is a legacy product that required scanrouter lite software. It is too involved for noobs to set up. Perhaps try setting up twain scanning instead.

    Hello everyone,

I've the same problem. I want to have the ability to scan to email and I don't know how.
Ricoh simply say that's not possible and the equipment is to old - solution buy a new one!

    Can someone help me!

    Thanks

And I have a Pentium 166 in the loft that I want to be able to play Call Of Duty on.

You didn't say which particular model you have but I'm assuming it's of the same vintage as the 1035. If it's even older (i.e analog) then you really are on a hiding to nothing.

Sorry for the sarcasm but if a legacy product didn't leave the production line with the feature you want, there simply is no way of adding it. If scan to email wasn't offered in the original spec of the machine then I'm afraid the only thing you can do is buy another machine. You don't necessarily need a new machine, just a later machine that offers the
    features you want.

Every one who asks about modding machines to do things outside of their original specs is missing the point that the time and money spent messing around with something almost guaranteed to fail would be better spent buying another second hand reconditioned machine that does what you want it to do.

For instance don't bother trying or asking about:-

    Upping a machine's cpm speed
Making analog relics do anything related to connectivity (print/scan/fax)
Making a mono machine into a colour

This, believe it or not, it not the big multinationals like Ricoh trying to screw you for more cash, it just can't be done.

For your own sanity I just suggest ebay, or asking a reputable dealer for a price on a decent second hand box.

Like Eric said, this machine cannot scan to email. you have to set up this machine to scan with twain, or scanrouter.

download scanrouter lite and give it a try:
    http://support.aficio.com/bb/pub_e/d...0/z02671L8.exe

also like others said, this machine does not support scan to email.
