Same as AW10 0111 and 0112 from the Adonis?
Same as AW10 0111 and 0112 from the Adonis?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.
Well. There might be few problems when SC955 appeared.
1. IPU board deffective
2. Poor connection of ADF harness (even if it looks fine sometimes it has internal damage)
3. Next one is a tricky one
[Symptom]
SC955 (Memory Setting Error) or SC990 (Software Performance Error) appeared for a job set up for stapling and sort with the [New Job] key.
The sheet staple and sort mode was selected for a job set up with the [New Job] key, but copying halted and only the main motor continued to rotate, then SC955 or SC990 appeared. The SC frequently did not occur again even when copying in the same mode.
[Cause]
The HDD was defective. Try to re-format HDDs if doesn't help then REPLACE HDD.
4. Check/re-connect all connectors on finisher main board
5. Controller board defective
6. I know you mentioned firmware updated but again! it might be an issue with a FIRMWARE (Upgrade the system software to B0705754E (ver. 4.04.1) or later)
7. Check out a voltage in a wall power socket it might be different to 110V if lower it may cause a problem
Well I think I covered it all. A lot? Welcome to a tech world
Sakura pointed out perfectly almost all the SC 955 possible causes.
If your SMC report shows usually hidden SC 128 codes 128* together with SC 955's and SC 990's it could be also BCU board or the scanner motor driver board.
Sooo to the list of 7 you can add another 3 to meake a perfect 10!
SO......... Fitted new thermistors to the problem MP8001 on Tuesday
Fuser codes on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and today (Monday)
So THEY WORK THEN!
Sent one of the guys in today to drop the fuser temp by 5 degrees and set the fuser idle.
Got new thermistors in this morning......... Guess whats coming next....................... SC555.
In teh words of Tcs04 So THEY WORK THEN
What a shame .....never mind still keeps me employed...........
have you tried going into service mode and setting 1107-01 start fusing temp and turn down to approx. 197 and see if this works
I have an MP8001 that codes 551 about every two weeks. I think the thermistors are just wearing thin. We just carry a set and replace them when it comes up. Its the only thing that fixes it. I have tried BCU, harness, thermistor brackets, reforming the brackets, kicking the shxx out of it. Thermistors and t-stats. Just replace them and go to the next one.
You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.

With this machine fuser it looks like a 2060 or 2075 if you look at the thermistor setup the 2060 thermistor are set so the 2 that are the same are seperated by the third one . The 6001 series puts the 2 same thermistors right next to each other i do not know if it is a misprint but i might set them up like a 2060 thermistor setup
