    MP6500 / 6000 / 6001 etc Fuser codes

Had an MP8001 throwing up codes (SC545?) within 1 week of installation.

Contacted RUK on Friday (05/03/2010... UK date!)

It seems there are new themistors about to be issued...

    AW100131

    AW100132

These should work on "older" machines according to RUK tech.

Bear in mind the fuser on the MP9001 has a non-contact centre thermistor

They've been bleating on about the new thermostats and thermistors ever since the Martini-C2. The new combination out at the minute is AW10 0108 and 0109 thermistors, AW11 0064 x 2 and 0066 x 1 thermostats. That seems to work on problematic ones. They fit the C2 to C3.5. Not seen any C4's yet so not to sure on those.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

MY info came direct from RUK L2 and they were being added to the parts list on Friday... So new there was not an RTB issued yet!

RUK had 3000 of each on order but they had not arrived in the country.

(I believe (?) the machine we had trouble with had the ... 0108 and 0109 thermistors. I updated to the latest firmware at installation and the machine had done less than 8k)

FWIW, I ordered some of these last night for grins and giggles to try in some of my more problematic machines. Got the approval e-mail almost immediately, and I thought, "Great! They're in Oracle." Got the ETA e-mail this morning that gives an ETA of 10 April from the RAC west coast distribution center. Blarg!

Then I looked at my blackberry and three of my calls, all for an SC542 on MP7000s. Meh. Maybe they'll ship sooner from Nashville...

I happened to be in the office this morning as well, and we checked into these part numbers, as much as we could in Oracle. I'm the only RAC tech in the States that has them on order (or was, at that time), and not a single tech has any. Rest assured, I'll be giving them a good acid test as soon as I get them.

Yeah like that ETA means anything they could show up tomorrow.

Yeah. I've found that if I place a regular order, the first e-mail will always say that Tustin has the part backordered. Yet, they usually ship it to me within a couple of days. Same part, emergency order, will show a true status of either available or backordered. Oracle is what is is. Working as intended, they tell us. Heh.

    MP6500 SC955

    Hi Guys,

Have an MP6500 throwing up an SC955 code every time a copy is made. Scanning and printing is working ok. Checked all connections, swapped memory dims and firmware has been updated...

    "SC955 / D / Memory setting error
The settings that are required for
    image processing using the
memory are not sent from the IPU.
    • Software defective"

    Any ideas?

    Tom

    Hi
The 3000 that were being refered to is for the whole of Europe!
UK have got 30 in and, I am told, are being sent to problem machines.

As of Tuesday Europe only had 600 still in stock.

I received 20 of each today. The width of the thermistor is noticeably narrower on the new parts.
    Come on Fulham!
