Check the firewall, windows 7 is stronger on this, also make sure there are no spaces in the share name. Also the login should be DOMAINNAME\USER

Turn it off just to try, and then you know, then use the firewall configurator to allow it through

Other possibility is that WIndows 7 doesn't allow by default that a folder be shared without a password. So, if your trying to access the folder with a user without a password, it will block you.

Go to "Network and Sharing Center" -> "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" -> Select "Turn off password protected sharing"

Another thing to look at, is Windows 7 routinely blocks port 139, but leaves port 137 available. You can either open up port 139, or switch to port 137. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

*09A or later models are unaffected as the first batch of mass production had a fix applied.

Cannot browse to a destination folder: Windows 7/Windows Server 2008
    The above firmware will support:

    l
    CIFS (Common Internet File System)

    l

    DFS (Distributed File System)

    l

    NTLMv2

The firmware will facilitate browsing to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 destinations, but there are following limitations.

Limitation1: Cannot Scan to SMB via IP over 1394

The above listed firmware does not support Scan to SMB over 1394.

*Printing on IP over 1394 is available.

Support for Scan to SMB over 1394 can be added using a temporary firmware. It is available for the following models:

    05A [Aficio MP 6000/SP, 7000/SP, 8000/SP],[MP 6000/SP, 7000/

    SP, 8000/SP]

    05A [Aficio MP 5500, 6500, 7500],[MP 5500, 6500, 7500]

    05A [Pro 906EX, 1106EX, 1356EX]

    05A [Aficio MP 9000, 1100, 1350],[MP 9000, 1100, 1350]

    05A [Aficio MP C2000, C2500, C3000],[MP C2000, C2500, C3000]

    05A [Aficio MP C3500, C4500],[MP C3500, C4500]

    05A [Aficio MP C1500sp],[MP C1500sp]

    05S [Aficio MP 2510, 3010],[MP 2510, 3010]

    05S [Aficio 3025, 3030],[DSm725, DSm730]

    05S [Aficio MP 3500, 4500],[MP 3500, 4500]

    05S [Aficio 3035, 3045],[DSm735, DSm745]

    04A [Aficio 3260C, Aficio Color 5560],[DSc460, CS555]

    04A [Aficio 3224C, 3232C],[DSc424, DSc432]

    04A [Aficio 3228C, 3235C, 3245C],[DSc428, DSc435, DSc445]

    04A [Aficio 2051, 2060, 2075],[DSm651, DSm660, DSm675]

    04A [Aficio 480W],[A080]

Limitation2: "Up One Level" button problem

Typically users will browse starting at the "Workgroup list" as follows: "Workgroup list > PC list > shared folder list".

The problem is that if the "Up One Level" button is selected from "shared folder list", the user will return to the "Workgroup list"

instead of correctly moving up one level to the "PC list".

This symptom will only occur when browsing to Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 shared folders.

    [Workaround]

Manually enter the path to the destination folder.

    Follow these steps:

    1.

    Press the

    [Scanner] key.

    2.

    Select

    [Manual Entry] or [Dest.:].

    3.

    Select

    [SMB].

    4.

Haven't had to update the firmware on most machines, unless they are older than 2 years. Even new machines I've not have them be able to BROWSE from the Copier to the Win 7 share. I tell win 7 don't require passwords for shares. Its in the Network and Sharing Center, left side of window, click link for ADVANCED SHARING OPTIONS. Share the Folder to Everyone. Select Read/Write options for user everyone. Then log into Copier Address Book and put user info in their manually.
