    can use a 3rd party hdd install in Ricoh mp5000b?
    somesone said some of the new machine the controller board read the hdd sn , so the hdd must called from Ricoh, someone can tell me something about that,thanks

    yes... a third party drive is fine. Our shop has been using drives from tigerdirect.com for about 2 yrs.

    The first law states that energy is conserved: The change in the internal energy is equal to the amount added by heating minus the amount lost by doing work on the environment.

    If you check Device Descriptions, you will find that all our machines exact anything less than 80g's.

    So any dealer, anywhere that selll hard drives that are 80g's or less will work

    Do they need to be formatted or partitioned on a PC before fitting them to a copier? Or can they be fitted straight from the shop then formatted and stamp data download straight thru the SP modes?

    i suggest u SP modes , if can not be read do the overwrite" FDISK/MBR"
