    Ricoh "Field Tech Bulletins"

After I got shot down trying to post df3036's D009 Fusing Web modification on the TSRC forum I'd been getting sooooooooooooooooooo many emails requesting the information that I decided to write my own "Field Tech Bulletin"

    Allow me to present fTB-D009-001.

    D009 Fuser Mod.pdf

Obviously you should feel free to distribute this to anyone cursed with an MP4000/MP5000.Mostly all I did was document things - the real thanks go to the people who helped test and develop this - it's saved a lot of people a lot of time, brain cells, and hair follicles.

I'm working on a few more for the D014 problems - I'll post them here as soon as I get them together.

By removing the post from TSRC, they have acknowledged it's existence, and don't be surprised if you see a revamped unit in the future. Either w/oil roller, or better web design.

Im not far behind ya... I dared to write a reply regarding the removal of the idea of the modification and only received a few replies in the forum. What I find more interesting is what arrived in my email warning me that I do not question and do not draw attention to problems. I loved my reply though... "How dare I say the King has no clothes" No reply to that as of yet...

I think the mods are forced to take it down, but the recognize that its really not in the best interest of the company to do so. They left just enough of my post up so that people could see what I was talking about and email me.

The King has no clothes - LOL, that was good - The TSRC guys may not be allowed to say it, but I think they see it... or don't see it... whatever - you know what I mean

Looks interesting ! has any one tried this on other models such as B234/D101 ? Also how well does this run without a cleaning roller ?

    Thanks

The D101 machines are easy enough to change, so its not a real issue - Its only worth it on the D009 because of how hard they are to work on.

They seem to run just fine without a cleaning roller. The hot roller still runs way over PM.
