Okay, scanner continues to slam back on this one. We checked all mirrors, pullys, etc. Replaced MCU board, still errors out and slams. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you checked the pulley set screws? These break or back out.
Don't take that toner with me!
Confirm, there is a tech bulletin (A292/293 - 034)
SUBJECT: SCANNER SLAMMING & SC124
SYMPTOM:
Scanner slamming occurs and/or service code 124’s.
CAUSES:
1. Faulty MCU Board.
2. Scanner pulley screws are fractured and/or scanner belt tension is loose.
I had one that replacing the NVRAM chip on fixed it. This one was really weird because every time the counter sheet was printed out the next copy would be a slam. Doing the NVRAM clear didn't fix it either.
