You guys do know that you can get the passwords if you do an NVRAM upload to an SD Card, and read the file off the SD card from your laptop right? Takes about a minute and a half. No new parts needed, no counter problems, just really easy.
Rosspt, are you trolling? I just inserted an SD card into my computer from an MPC3003, theres no entities in there of the currently set passwords.
My program doesn't work on the new GW controllers with the new encryption options. Yet. Working on it. BUT... this thread was about a C3000. I have done the pw recovery on the nvram file for 161, 171, c2000, c2500, c3000, c3500, c4500, c2800, c3300, c4000, c5000 and I'm sure it works for a lot more. I'll gladly help off forum if anyone needs.
