    SC 742

I'm getting an sc 742. When you turn the copier on you get a remove jam for r2 & 3 then 742. Replaced the motor, lubed the stapler bar adjusted tension on the belt, and replaced the hp sensor but still getting the fault. Any other suggestion?

What model of finisher attached to what mfp? Can I assume you mean you replaced the shift motor and shift roller HP sensor? Could also be some type of mechanical load binding the drive or bad harness connection. The only time I have had this error was a defective shift motor.

i have a finisher thats giving me that same code, it looks like the belt is frayed, trying to see where the big spring go on the stapler housing though.

And the question remains the same.

rickg never answered that and therefore never got any help with his problem.

OK this thread is 8 years OLD... OP never came back and told us the fix... since it is such a 'dead thread' try starting your own thread.
