Re: MPC 4000,5000,2800,3300 lines.
We got the same prob in Swe to. To solve this problem is to change the Dev unit. but if you dont have any dev units to change with, try to poor out the dev on a pice of A3 paper and do the Cocain Method with a creditcard . the dev can have lumbs in it so chop those!

There is a very simple fix for it. Remove the plastic seal of the front of dev unit. Ull need a stanley knife to cut it at the bottom. Lossen 2 screws that hold the gap blade, 1 turn should do it. Do not take them out as it is a pain to put them back in. Rotate the mag roller so there is no dev on it. Get a feeler gauge and adjust the gap to 0.45 - 0.55mm on each side. Rotate the mag roller and ull see all the blobs on it. (Just leave them there) If u still getting lines go to 0.6 mm. Put the seal back on and sellotape where the original seal was. I use 2 strips of sellotape. Must do ACC afrerwads. Been doing it for the past year only 1 came back cos the seal had a hole. Hope that helps.

I've found hard toner is to blame for this. Usually when changing the pcu the vibration of seperating the units causing the toner to float around and produce the fault.
