    Strange problem with mpc2000

    Hello guys.
    Hello guys.
I have a strange problem with a mpc2000 during color printing.
With black and white prints I have no problems.
The problem occurs only in the first printing of a document.
In subsequent prints the magenta stain you can see the image attached tends to disappear.
Everything suggests that the problem is in the drum magenta, but it should not occur for every print?

    Thanks for your help.

    Bye Bye.

It will occur with every print as the transfer belt is in contact with all 3 drums during colour printing / copying. It could also be the ITB cleaning unit is worn out and needs replacing, they don't last much more than the 160k pm cycle.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Dev unit could also be faulty - I have had it on one of these machines that was doing high coverage. changed the dev unit and it was fine.

Thanks for your help. The machine don't have high coverage and I don't think it's development unit. I was thinking the solution of problem is the itb cleaning unit too.
But if the itb cleaning unit is wonr out , should the machine make th same problem also with B/W print?
    Bye.

No, because the transfer belt isn't in contact with the colour drums while doing B&W jobs.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

    Thanks for reply.
but, if the transfer belt is in contact with the colour drums, should I have the problem with all colors? I made different prints and the only stain is magenta. In theory I should have the same problem also with b/w prints, but b/w prints are good.
    Thanks for your help.
    Bye

I reckon its in the magenta drum.....first thing I'd do and because it only takes 2 minutes is clean the charge roller - although it dosnt really look like charge roller lines.....it looks kinda like the stain left over when cleaning the charge roller tho, if there is a bit of water left over but then the next copy kinda absorbs the water up like you said happens in the first post. Maybe a bit of moisture is sitting on the roller, humidity or something?

    Anyway.....clean the charge roller.

check the transfer belt. at the right side u have like a metal stainshield that are attach with 2 screws, unmount that and check, it should be alots of waste-toner on it. just clean it whit hot water.

    Best Regard
