MPC4500 without fusing belt? Could I be dreaming?

I've been at a propective customer examining his machine - a Ricoh MPC4500, which I never had the chance to see before - and at the shop, while examining the machine's manuals, I noticed that the fuser is supposed to have a fusing belt - but I can swear I saw a grey roller instead on the fusing unit.

Could I be dreaming? Or is it possible that the machine is another model rebranded as a MPC4500? Or has a modified fuser?

Anyone here can elucidate me?

It might be that it's an Apollon-C2 (MPC4000/5000), they use rollers instead of a belt. Either that or it's a heavily modified fuser someone's had a play with.

The MPC2000/2500/3000/3500/4500 and also the later MPC2800/3300 have a black fuser belt - the later MPC4000/5000 has an orange roller which is like a fuser belt glued to a sponge roller. The MP3500/4500 (mono) has a roller but it is black unless it has a non OEM roller in it. If the belt is missing, one of the internal rollers is grey but the machine would come up with a fuser error if there was no belt at all.

Or maybe I saw a non-OEM grey fusing belt and thought I was looking at a teflon roller.
