Angry Savin 816 ADF Pulling Whole Stacks

These ADF's for these 816s are killing us with our customers. They continuously double feed. We've done Bulletin 007R for the Spring Plate on all the ADF's. Some multiple times. We've replaced whole original feed units which include a Oneway Clutch (one on end), Roller Clutch:Bracket:Feed, Feed Roller and Pickup Roller. We've replaced the Separation Rollers, the bracket the Reverse Roller sits in. The Stepper Motor on the back, the feed clutch on the front.

    Seriously this is aggravating.

You need to tweak the separation pressure by bending the spring plate until you find the 'sweet spot'.
Don't take that toner with me!

Yeah that is what I was figuring. Absolutely bullsh*t design from Ricoh. We are getting so tired of there machines the dealership is considering switching brands.

The new spring is B872-2251 and can be identified as having 2 small holes.

Savin is Retarded. The Bulletin Says B872-2251, The parts Catalog says B872 2212. I swear to all that is unholy I'm finding a job with a different copier company.

Vulkor you need a drink, badly!
Aside from that, 2212 is the old number and 2251 is the modified spring. It is strange that you are having so much problem with this line. We have a shxtload of this series out from 1302 to 171 and service is rare.
I have other machines that make me drink tho.

We must have over 30 of the 816/Ricoh 161/Ricoh 171. Well only 2-3 of the Ricoh 171. No problem from them much except for crooked copies out of the box. But I think we currently have maybe 15 with ADF issues. They just pull multiple sheets. We've replaced with the new spring plate. I checked our stock and we do have the new number. They substitute the old # for the new when we order. We've replaced entire feed assembly. That is the one way's, pickup, feed, sep roller. The carriage that holds the Sep roller, DF Feed Motor and DF Feed Clutch. No way we have over a dozen with Bad Boards.

Only other serious problem machines we have are Savin 8035e/9040/9050 Any that use the New E toner. Their PM's NEVER last to PM cycle. If you get 100k of good copies that is the lottery.

Thought Kyocera was a different company than Mita. So ticked off I got a Job App Form for a Kyrocera/Canon Dealer and a Sharp Dealer in front of me filling them out. Tired of poor design and poor budget for repair on machines. BubbleGum and Superglue only work for so long.
