    Hi there,

We can ' t change the settings for the machine no more...how do I reset this (clear the NV ram was I told by a friend technician)

Did the SP 5- 801-001, .. (All clear,execute,... I thougt this was the NV ram clear...) and yes I, did the printout of the SMC reports....so I can put it all back grrrr...

But the unknown username and- password wasn 't set to the default "admin"..

I tried also "supervisor" in web image monitor...no effect,

    any idea 's....?

    Please help.

    Thanks already.

Call a tech. If he verifies your story, he can get into the machine.

How would I have noticed that? Why not ask your "friend technician"

I've had this issue on quite a few models. On the Ricohs, if the default has been changed and you cannot get it from whomever you purchased it from, then you have to replace the NVRAM PCB and reload all the info/settings.

If the supervisor account doesn't work, then the NVRAM must be replaced. Backup the contents of the NVRAM to an SD-card and reload the settings to the new NVRAM.

Have you tried to log in as supervisor and no password. This should give you the rights to change or edit the admin loggin.

Wouldnt loading the old data from the old nvram load the unknnown passwords onto the new nvram? Just curious.
