    SPC 811DN Bad quality copy

    Hello

I have a SPC 811DN. When printing color photos document is unclear.
By cons when I print text, graphics and color shots of the document is clear.

I test the RAM is OK.
I change the drums, it's OK
I did a color calibration and is still unclear.

    Have an idea?

Don't forget this machine IS NOT a production colour. It can't be expected to print photos perfectly. Anyway, try setting the resolution in the print driver as high as possible. Postscript will increase the resolution too.

    Hit it.

I use the latest version of RPCS driver on XP.
But I have the same failure with the postscript driver on Mac OS X.
    The pictures are very fuzzy.
I print the same file on another SPC811 and his works.

The laser unit has many items that could be cleaned.

The laser unit can be removed by taking off the left side cover. Remove the harnesses, 2 cooling fans and the 2 screws that hold the laser in. A couple other items to consider is the ITB unit and transfer roller. Do you have access to another machine to swap parts out for testing, I pretty sure the ITB unit and transfer roller from an MPC3500/4500 will work also.

This is not the transfer roller. I try. I would like to have the reference of the ITB unit please?

There isn't a part number, it's an EDP code as it's classed as a consumable item. I'll have a look if you're struggling.
