    What exactly isn't working?

Does the machine have a PostScript chip in it? Without it, the driver is useless.

How was the printer setup on the Mac?
Did they run the installer program on the CD?

The installer program on the CD only installs the Mac driver. They still have to add a printer from the print center, which should have the Ricoh driver as an option once they ran the install program off the CD.

I've had the best luck adding LPD printers and then using the ip address and "print" for the queue name.

The driver was run from the c.d and the printer added from the print center, however upone completion of installation you could ping and get back a reply from the printer. so we decided to download the printers drivers from the ricoh website this being the latest drivers for mac o.s 10.6 but upon running the installer still the printer was unable to print. Any ideas as to overcome this issue.

    regards

Try logging into the web-interface and check the PS setting in printer under the configuration link. If the "Data Format" is in "Binary Data", try changing it to "TBCP".
That fix the same kind of issue I had.

    Good Luck

Is AutoContinue enabled (usually set to Immediate)?

If so, reboot the MFD ask the user to send a job the check the printer error log.
Error code 91 would indicate that a mismatch has occured between the configuration of the device and those of of the application and driver and the job has been cancelled by the MFD.
