    RICOH MPC6000 quality problem

I've got a quality problem with a mpc6000 (588.000 prints) of strange white stripes on a edge of the A3 paper (not A4) both in copying and printing. I presume it depends only from the black unit because if i print only magenta, yellow or cyan the color is correct.
    I've attached the samples.
I've tried yet: new developing unit, new charge corona unit, new drum, new blades and brush, new transfer belt, and new transfer roller. But it still present the problem.

Thanks in advance for any idea!!

    Seen that before...

I've had this problem before. I just can't remember what the reason was .
I'll check if I can find the service log that explains it.

    Reseat the RAM

That looks remarkably like severely depleted developer. Did this problem come back immediately after you added developer to the new unit, or did it work for a while?

Looks like lack of dev / dev unit augers not turning. you can see the start or the 45 degree lines caused by the interaction between the dev and the tips of the augers they throw lines of dev against the mag roller. I think there was a bulletin for this machine. There was one for a similar fault on the AF3245... See attached.

It worked for a while. I think TCS04 is right. Now i go to the customer's machine and try to change developer again , clean inside the development unit, and change the clutch.
    I'll notice you the result!
Thank you very much all you guys for the help!!!!

After a deeper check i saw that the machine show the problem with both A4 and A3 paper format only when the thick paper is selected; probably because the dev unit in that case turns slowly and so can't refurnish the mag roller of dev/toner correctly , especially printing with high coverage percentage of toner.
Then today i did an attempt to solve the problem without changing anything:

-performed a forced toner k supply sp 2-251-1
-performed sp 5-804-99 (dev k motor rotation) for about 15 minutes
    -set sp 1-010-5 , sp 1-011-5 and sp 1-o12-5 from 0 to 3 (dev k motor speed)

It seems working good now (i don't know for how long!!)

I let you know the long term result.

Interesting and I fully understand your wanting to keep the customers uptime at a high, but all the same it would have been instructive to know if just changing the clutch would have solved it. Thanks for the feedback.

I think there's no clutch but only the development motor and some gears on this model of machine that has a different development unit and a different adding toner system respect the AF3245. I tried to find something like clutches on the parts catalogue but i didn't see anything.
