Yeah.. but the customers was more or less foreign hotel chains. They ordered the machines from the main office in for example Germany and the company I worked (a few month) for sendt the copier.
The hotel had no ide what they were getting, and the main office for the chain never saw the machines.

I don't know if the company is still in business - but it wouldn't surprise me. They did make a lot of money.
Hell, if you can sell a copier as new 2-3 times.. you got to make money.

I remember we even ordered new badges for the machine. A Ricoh 1060 became a 2060 and so on..
Then they just hoped the customer didn't enter web image monotor or checked the driver themselves.
The owner was nicknamed sneaky weasel by the other workers

At least I learned some spanish from the job . The coworkers were nice and all too , but I landed another job in Crete doing some fibre optic stuff for a while - so it was a fairly easy choise to change jobs then. I prefer to do a job I can be proud of.

    hi guys,

dont scream, that people who wants to reset the counters are cheaters....
we like asian country people import a lot of used copiers from western countries
we remanufacture the copiers and put these m/c s in renatls in which case the client is charged per page only , the maintenance is carried out by us.. the purpose to reset is just for a new account only....

    mr devaraj1970,

I may have a solution for to your predicament. Printout current meter reading copy on machine printout and have for you and your client sign it then have it legally notarised by official signature both you can have evidence of when the machine has been legitimately remanufactured and your valued customer will can only pay from then on for there uses.

Its that or find the custard bottle.

So what is to stop you from taking a stranger to the notary, sign it and have it stamped?

Or the buyer from tossing it and reselling it as new?
