I have had 2 this year. (One this very afternoon) The 1st was a Lanier LD175 with 5 million- I can let that one slide. Today's developer leak was on a LD275 with 1.1 Million. (not too good) The bad thing is not so much gutting the machine to clean and replace the DV unit, but the developer eats the one way bearings in the paper feed units. Nasty deal!

when dv leaks onto feed units you need to check all the gears and one way clutches. if they are damaged they cause timing problems and jams. once i see one bad i change all as a set. i can't handle the call backs. when it leaks to the front then we are talking about motor problems. when i clean them they usually work fine. i have only had to change a few. in my opinion a dv leak is the worst thing that could happen in these machines.
