I seem to recall the birth certificates to either be under the control panel (underside cover?) or behind either the left or right side cover. Can't say I'm positive but it has to be somewhere.

Thanks. I'll check it next time I'm next to one of those machines.

    Cheers!

Well, thanks to your tip I now know the NVRAM was reset around the 17th of January of the current year.

Everything seems fine with the NVRAM, since all the settings I programmed some weeks ago (phone numbers, IP address, etc) are kept nicely (the customer turns off the machine during the night).

Checked in those places and behind some other covers, but no luck. I'll take out the back covers, but I doubt it is there. I believe it's MIA.

Ignoring the remainder SC codes (2nd to 10th), since they were logged the last day I was here messing with the machine, the 1st code (thrown out today at 9am) is SC350 - so I'm glad I bought an ID sensor with me along with a TD sensor. I'll replace the ID sensor first and see how it goes from here.

Not only it didn't solve, I now have an SC342 that I can't get rid of - even with new TD sensor and new developer.

    What the heck?

Just a thought, but if the laser setting are off you may get poor ID patch and add toner / ID codes... What are the SP3103 / 2223 readings? try SP3001-002 to initialise the new ID sensor then run 11 white copies and check Vsp / Vsg.

Which toner mode is the machine in? Check SP2208-1 and see if the machine has locked in Pixel control, this can cause an overtone. Is the new TD sensor OK? If the machine can't read 3.0V during setup you will get SC342. (Back to checking SP2223)
