    3245C Red lines

I have been dealing with these red lines on this machine and I cant get to the bottom of it.
The pcr keeps getting contaminated . I just clean the pcr with alcohol and its
ok for another week . I have quite a few of these units in the field and this is the only one doing this. Any ideas anyone ?

Cleaning is very temporary. Either replace it or perhaps coat the pcr with turtle wax.

I guess I would look at the developer clutch, it may be sticky and turning all the time. Is Magenta a primary color that they use? Are they going thru a lot of M toner? Are they using Genuine M toner, Genuine M PCU? Or Rebuilt?

3rd party toner will always be a problem if for no other reason than you dont know whether it is the problem or not. It is usually cheaper because it isnt manufactured to the highest standards. The particle size can be too small or too large or not a fixed size at all. Maybe even different materials.
If your customer is using one color more than others, you can expect to replace the pcu more often. My bos uses Cyan like crazy in the showroom and the pcu usage shows it.
Rick, try replacing the developer clutch.
