Ricoh Aficio 2238C Toner Cartridge

Panel of copier will show toner is almost empty but never indicate whether cyan, yellow, magenta or black is running low. Is it due to faulty chip on the toner cartridge or cartridge is not original ? Anyone can shed some light on this issue ? Thanks.

clean tubes, inspect that developers are seated correctly
