    3224C Jamming Issue

    Hi Guys,

I have an issue with and Aficio 3224C jamming on all trays when printing.

There is an element of damp paper involved, but if you copy it will print 100 sheets no problems. However if you then print said document from the pc through the network it will jam every 5-10 prints.

Im not to very familiar with this model but could this be a firmware fault?

    Many thanks for any help

Not a firmware fault, its just a piece of shit designed to drive you crazy. Oops, did I say that out loud?
Make sure the driver has the trays as normal paper, not special, thick or anything like that.

    Hi Jomama,

I have removed paper from tray 1 as the guides are faulty and im not paying for a new tray. all the paper is in tray 2, altho not filled up as i found that if you fill the paper too full it will jam. Im a bit lost as to why it would copy as many copies as you want but it won't print 10 pages without jamming. I have updated the driver. could this be a board fault then?

    Thanks

Do they change paper to print, i.e. different weight?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Has to be a driver setting. If you installed the pcl6, try the pcl 5c

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the help on this. It was a driver fault. Rolled the driver back to pcl5 and so far so good.

    Thanks

I Never use PCL6. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. PCL5 is not an older driver, it is PCL6-lite. It always works. PCL6 is a different architecture and is funcky with some software.

Thanks for the info Jomama, i will keep that in mind. Its a weird one, I would not have thought about a printer driver causing jamming in that way.

    Thanks Very Much!
